In the heart of Switzerland, Giannino Cafè 1899 brings the Italian passion for artisan gelato, Swiss chocolate, and quality coffee. It is an elegant and inviting space where tradition and modern style merge to offer a unique and refined taste experience.

All our gelatos are prepared in the Giannino Cafè 1899 laboratory in Interlaken, using selected ingredients and artisanal methods. We use only the highest quality raw materials: Bronte pistachios, Piedmont hazelnuts, local fresh milk, and authentic Swiss chocolate.

Our Raw Materials

We use only the finest ingredients: premium Swiss chocolate, Bronte pistachios, Piedmont hazelnuts, local fresh milk, and a precious 100% Arabica coffee from Venezuela. In our laboratory, time seems to slow down, making room for artisanal care and the art of detail.

Chocolate Discs

Giannino Cafè 1899 crafts authentic and ethically conscious Swiss chocolate, handmade with fair-trade, selected, and traceable ingredients. The milk comes from cows raised in the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve, while the cocoa beans are purchased directly from small cooperatives and local farmers, with full respect for both people and the land. Among our most iconic creations are the Giannino Cafè Chocolate Discs: generous, round slabs meant to be broken and shared.
